Committed to Care, Advocating for Change

Committed to Care, Advocating for Change

Advocating for those who are poor and vulnerable is imperative to Dignity Health's mission. We strongly believe that health care is a basic human right and should be available and accessible to all. But with millions of Americans currently uninsured and underserved, we are far from that mark.

We are committed to being a part of the solution to this crisis. Our healthcare reform platform calls for comprehensive changes guided by the basic principles of universal access, stable financing, and improved quality and accountability.

Our advocacy efforts are evident in other areas as well. Through our innovative Health Security Index we are bringing the voices of all Americans more fully into the reform debate and making visible just how important health security is to the overall economic security of the nation. And we daily integrate our mission and values into our investment decisions, and have designed our investment portfolio to promote corporate social responsibility and accountability on issues that affect the broader health of the community.

We also leverage our rights as a shareholder in certain corporations to raise issues of social and environmental concern.
