Dr. Faramarz Taj Tehrani is a board certified and licensed general and interventional cardiologist who is on staff at California Hospital Medical Center as an active member of our cardiovascular care team.
Dr. Tehrani received his Bachelors of Science degree from the University of California Irvine where he also completed his medical school training. He went on to complete his Internal Medicine residency at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. He continued his training by going to University of California Davis to complete a fellowship in general cardiology. Dr. Tehrani’s final phase of education included completing an advanced fellowship in interventional cardiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he was trained in the latest techniques in coronary and peripheral interventions including trans-radial angiography approach.
Dr. Tehrani is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, and Interventional Cardiology. He holds additional board certifications in cardiac imaging for Echocardiography, Cardiac CT, and Peripheral Ultrasound imaging.
Dr. Tehrani is an advocate of patient education and having patients play an active role in their own healthcare management. He is a strong believer of utilizing evidence-based medicine to treat and prevent cardiovascular diseases.
