Patient Accomodations

Our facility offers comfortable, semi-private rooms for our patients.

Telephones

Telephones are at your bedside for your convenience. To make a local call, dial 9 to get an outside line, then dial the number you wish to reach. Long distance or collect calls require the operator's assistance. Patients may receive phone calls until 10:00 p.m. You can request all or some calls be held so that you can rest.

Meals

Meals times are approximately 7:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 5:30 p.m. The diet aid visits most patients daily to distribute menus and get food selections for the next meal. You may call 6326 to find out daily specials. Please notify the nursing staff of any special diet requirements. Your amount of food and fluid intake may be monitored, so please check with your nurse before accepting outside snacks or beverages.

Interactive Patient Engagement Technology (iPET)

Valuables

Please do not bring valuables to the hospital. If possible, limit your belongings to clothing and toilet articles. Please be very careful with your glasses, hearing aids, and dentures. Keep those items in their proper storage cases when not in use.

Medications

All medications you take during your hospitalization must be dispensed by our pharmacy. Personal medications are not allowed at the bedside. We encourage you to leave your medications at home. However, your medications may sometimes be stored in the pharmacy and dispensed by the nurse with your doctor's order.

HIPAA And Patient Confidentiality

It is your legal right under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) to have your health information kept private and secure. Under HIPAA's privacy and information security sections, it is illegal to release your health information to inappropriate parties or to fail to adequately protect your health information from release. Therefore, it is important for you and your family or friends to choose a *contact person* that staff can relay information to. Protecting patient privacy is essential to the mission of FHMC and its family of Dignity Health hospitals.
