Hospice care involves a team-oriented approach to expert medical care, symptom and pain management, and emotional and spiritual support expressly tailored to the patient’s needs. Our primary goal is to fulfill our patient’s wishes and to support their families and caregivers. Hospice can help the patient maintain the highest quality of life possible. We strive to care for the whole person, not just the disease.
We also realize that coping with end-of-life issues can be difficult for everyone involved. It's why we also provides bereavement services for a full year after a loss. Our trained bereavement team offers support to help families and caregivers cope with the loss of a loved one.
Dignity Health Infusion Services is the only program on the Central Coast to offer comprehensive in-home infusion services. Our pharmacists and team of specially-trained nurses work with your doctor to provide care you need, where you are the most comfortable—at home.
What is Infusion Therapy? Home Infusion Therapy involves the administration of medications and nutrition therapy using parenteral and enteral routes. This care is administered to patients in the convenient and comfortable surroundings of their own home and allows them to take a more active role in their own health care. Home Infusion Therapy is not only more cost-effective than inpatient treatment; it eases the stress and anxiety of treatment resulting in better patient outcomes.
