Bioethics Committee

Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center recognizes that advances in medical science and technology, as well as a culturally and religiously diverse society, have contributed to numerous bioethical, legal and social questions concerning health care.

We also recognize that medical staff, hospital staff, patients, families, and the community need a resource to assist in addressing and clarifying these bioethical issues when they arise. Therefore, our hospital's Bioethics Committee is available to all patients, families, doctors, and staff to provide consultation for bioethical matters concerning patient care within the hospital setting.

The committee at Glendale Memorial Hospital consists of members of the health care team such as doctors, nurses, social workers, and chaplains, as well as community representatives.
