2023 Awards

  • Dignity Health - St. Rose Dominican, Siena Campus has been recognized by Healthgrades for America's 100 Best Hospitals for Cardiac Care Award for superior clinical outcomes in heart bypass surgery, coronary interventional procedures, heart attack treatment, heart failure treatment, and heart valve surgery.   • Dignity Health - St. Rose Dominican, Siena Campus was awarded Chest Pain Center Accreditation with Primary PCI by the American College of Cardiology, based on rigorous onsite evaluation of the staff’s ability to evaluate, diagnose and treat patients who may be experiencing a heart attack.   • U.S. News & World Report, the global authority in hospital rankings and consumer advice, has named the San Martin Campus a High Performing hospital in its 2023-24 survey. High Performing is the highest award a hospital can earn in U.S. News’ Best Hospitals Procedures & Conditions ratings. In recognition of care that was significantly better than the national average, as measured by factors such as patient outcomes, San Martin earned “High Performing” ratings for Heart Attack and Kidney Failure.

  • Dignity Health-St. Rose Dominican Hospitals have received four American Heart Association Get With The Guidelines and Mission: Lifeline achievement awards for demonstrating commitment to following up-to-date, research-based guidelines for the treatment of heart disease and stroke, ultimately leading to more lives saved, shorter recovery times and fewer hospital readmissions.   • The San Martin Campus is included as one of only 101 hospitals in the U.S. on Money.com's first-ever Best Hospitals for Bariatric Surgery list. In partnership with The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit that serves as a voice for health care consumers, Money.com announced the Best Hospitals for Bariatric Surgery list in January 2023. The 101 hospitals that earned this distinction achieve Leapfrog's standards for safety, keeping patients safe from errors, infections, and complications, and performing enough procedures to give patients the best odds of a good outcome.   • The San Martin Campus achieved the Comprehensive Center accreditation from the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) for their commitment to providing and supporting quality improvement and patient safety efforts for metabolic and bariatric surgery patients. As an accredited program, San Martin has demonstrated that it meets patients' needs by providing multidisciplinary, high-quality, patient-centered care. Siena is now part of an elite group of MBSAQIP-accredited centers. (January 2023)

  • The San Martin Campus was selected as the Bronze Award winner for “Best Place to Have A Baby" and "Best Hospital" categories in the Las Vegas Review-Journal's 2022 annual readers' poll. (December 2022)
  • The Siena Campus earned the 2022 Get With The Guidelines® - Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award and also qualified for the following recognition:Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll. The award recognizes Siena Campus' commitment and success in implementing a high standard of stroke care by ensuring that their stroke patients receive treatment that meets nationally accepted, evidence-based standards and recommendations. High Performing is the highest award a hospital can earn in U.S. News’ Best Hospitals Procedures & Conditions ratings. In recognition of care that was significantly better than the national average, as measured by factors such as patient outcomes, Siena earned “High Performing” ratings for Heart Attack, Heart Failure, Stroke, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Knee Replacement, and Hip Replacement. The Center achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for 12 consecutive months, including patient satisfaction rates of higher than 92 percent and a minimum wound healing rate of at least 92 percent within 28 media days to heal. (May 2022) 
  • The San Martin Campus achieved accreditation as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery, recognized for providing the highest quality of care and patient safety by Surgical Review Corporation, an independent, not-for-profit, organization that administers best-in-class accreditation programs for medical facilities and professionals. (January 2022)

2021 Awards

  • The San Martin Campus was selected as the Gold Award winner for “Best Place to Have A Baby" in the Las Vegas Review-Journal's 2021 annual readers' poll. San Martin was also recognized with a Bronze Award in the “Best Hospital” category. (December 2021)

  • The Siena Campus achieved accreditation as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery, recognized for providing the highest quality of care and patient safety by Surgical Review Corporation, an independent, not-for-profit, organization that administers best-in-class accreditation programs for medical facilities and professionals. The hospital is the first in Nevada to achieve this accreditation. (June 2021)

  • The Siena Campus has been recognized as a High Performing Hospital for 2021-22 by U.S. News & World Report. Siena earned the top ranking in five different condition categories - more than any other southern Nevada hospital.   • Dignity Health-St. Rose Dominican has been recognized as one of the top 10 best employers in Nevada, as part of Forbes’ annual list of America’s Best-in-State Employers 2020, based on an independent survey of approximately 80,000 U.S. employees working for companies employing at least 500 people in their U.S. operations. (August 2020)
  • The Siena Campus earned a “High Performing” rating from U.S. News & World Report for Hip Replacement in recognition of care that was significantly better than the national average, as measured by factors such as patient outcomes. “High Performing” is the highest rating U.S. News awards for that type of care.   • The Siena Campus received the Mission: Lifeline-STEMI Receiving Center - GOLD PLUS Achievement Award from the American Heart Association for its continued success in applying the most up-to-date, evidence-based treatment guidelines to improve patient care and outcomes. (June 2019) 

  • The Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine Center at San Martín received the 2018 Healogics President's Circle Center of Distinction award for clinical excellence. Of the 621 Centers eligible for the award, only 10 Centers achieved this honor. (March 2019) 

  • The Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine Center at Siena was recognized as a 2018 Healogics Robert A. Warriner III Center of Excellence by achieving or exceeding outstanding clinical and operational results in 2018. (March 2019)

  • The Siena Campus received the National Certified Bronze Safe Sleep Hospital designation from Cribs for Kids through their commitment to reducing infant sleep-related deaths.  - April 2017

  • The Siena Campus received the American College of Cardiology's NCDR ACTION Registry-GWTG Platinum Performance Achievement award for 2016, one of only 223 hospitals nationwide to receive the honor. The award recognizes St. Rose's commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients. - October 2016  

  • The San Martín Campus received the American College of Cardiology's NCDR ACTION Registry-GWTH Silver Performance Achievement Award, one of only 21 hospitals nationwide to receive the honor.   • The Siena Campus was named by US News & World Report as the best regional hospital, along with receiving high-performing designations for COPD, heart failure, hip replacement and knee replacement. The San Martín campus received high-performing designations for COPD and heart failure, and the Rose de Lima campus received a high-performing designation for COPD. - September 2016    

  • St. Rose Dominican was awarded a Gold Fit-Friendly Worksite by the American Heart Association for steps taken to create a culture of wellness for employees. - June 2016      

  • The American Heart Association recognized the Siena Campus with a 2016 Quality Achievement Award: Mission Lifeline STEMI Receiving Center - SILVER PLUS Achievement Award for its success in using the Mission Lifeline STEMI program. - June 2016  

  • The American Heart Association recognized the San Martin Campus with the Get With The Guidelines - Heart Failure BRONZE Achievement Award. The hospital applies the most up-to-date evidence-based treatment guidelines to improve patient care and outcomes. - May 2016

  • The Siena Campus was recognized as a 2013 Top Performer on Key Quality Measures by The Joint Commission, the leading accreditor of health care organizations in the U.S. Siena was recognized for attaining and sustaining excellence in accountability measure performance for heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, and surgical care. - November 2014 

  • The Rose de Lima Campus was one of just two hospitals in southern Nevada to receive an "A" in hospital safety scores from the Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit organization. And the St. Rose system (Rose de Lima, San Martin and Siena Campuses) was the best performing system in southern Nevada.  - November 2014

  • The Rose de Lima and Siena Campuses were given the Get With The Guidelines-Stroke "Silver Plus Achievement Award" by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. Hospitals receiving this award have reached an aggressive goal of treating stroke patients with 85 percent or higher compliance to core standard levels of care for 12 consecutive months. They have also demonstrated 75 percent compliance to 7 out of 10 stroke quality measures during the 12-month period. - November 2014

  • The Siena Campus won the 2014-2015 Consumer Choice Award for southern Nevada for the second year in a row. The award is given annually by the National Research Corporation to the hospital that consumers rank as best in overall quality and image. - October 2014

  • The Siena Campus trauma center was re-verified as a Level III trauma center by the Committee on Trauma (COT) of the American College of Surgeons - June 2014 

  • The Siena Campus was recognized by the American Nurses Association for its Outstanding Commitment to Quality Patient Care - June 2014 

  • The San Martín Campus received prestigious international recognition as an official Baby-Friendly Designated birth facility, the first in southern Nevada - April 2014.

  • The San Martín Campus received Chest Pain Center Accreditation from the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care (SCPC) - April 2014.

  • The Siena Campus was chosen as the area’s safest hospital by Consumer Reports - April 2014.

  • Dignity Health - St. Rose Dominican was again selected as one of the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s "Top Workplaces" in the large-company category. The Top Workplaces are determined solely on employee feedback. - February 2014.   

2013 Awards

  • The Rose de Lima Campus received an A in hospital safety scores from The Leapfrog Group.

  • The San Martín Campus was awarded the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association's "Get with the Guidelines®–Stroke" Bronze Quality Achievement Award.

  • St. Rose Dominican Hospitals ranked #3 in the Las Vegas Review-Journal's "Top Workplaces" special section in the large-company category.

2012 Awards

  • The Rose de Lima Campus was the only hospital in southern Nevada to receive an A in hospital safety scores from The Leapfrog Group. Additionally, the St. Rose hospital system (Rose de Lima, San Martín and Siena Campuses) was the best performing system in southern Nevada.
     
  • St. Rose Dominican Hospitals was honored at the Raising Awareness in Stroke Excellence (RAISE) Awards in the category of "Outstanding Support Group" for its Aphasia Lunch Bunch support group.
     
  • The Siena Campus received the 2012 HealthInsight Quality Award for achieving a high level of performance on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid's (CMS) publicly-reported quality data and promoting transparency in its health care system.
     
  • The Siena Campus trauma center was re-verified as a Level III trauma center by the Committee on Trauma (COT) of the American College of Surgeons. It also earned the Gold Seal of Approval™ from The Joint Commission for its Joint Replacement Unit in August. The Joint Commission awarded the Siena Campus the Disease-Specific Care Certification for Joint Replacement.
     
  • The Siena Campus was awarded the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association's "Get with the Guidelines®–Stroke" Bronze Quality Achievement Award.
     
  • The Rose de Lima Campus was recognized as a top performing hospital in the MIDAS+ Platinum Quality Award program based on the hospital’s performance in the ACS MIDAS+ National Comparative Database and excellence in the care of high-risk, high-volume and problem-prone clinical populations.
     
  • St. Rose Dominican Hospitals earned Third Place in Vegas Inc.'s "Best Places to Work" awards in the "Large Employer" category.
