St. Rose Dominican Announces New Board Members

St. Rose Dominican has added six new members to its Community Board of Directors. The new members are Dr. Neel Dhudsia, Craig Johnson, Dr. Jennifer Raroque, Rory Reid, John Socha, and Bruce Woodbury.

Dr. Neel Dhudshia joined Cardiovascular Surgery of Southern Nevada (CCSN) in 2004. He is a board-certified general surgeon, board-certified cardiovascular surgeon, and an experienced trauma surgeon, who performs all types of cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic surgery. Dr. Dhudshia attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern. He completed his residencies and fellowships at the University of Texas Southwestern, University of Vermont, and University of Tennessee.

Craig W. Johnson has over 30 years of national and international experience in risk assessment, construction claims, risk mitigation, and project oversight, project development, operations, and construction management services for companies serving the hospitality, commercial, and health care industries. As Senior Vice President of Hill International, Johnson assists with the project oversight and financing of major projects in the health care and hospitality/resort/casino marketplaces. Some of Johnson’s clients include Wynn Encore, Cleveland Clinic – Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, The Cosmopolitan, Red Rock Resort & Casino and Rhodes Ranch. Johnson is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Jennifer Raroque attended medical school at the University of the Philippines, Manila, and completed her residency and fellowship at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Raroque has been involved with projects that aim to improve the efficiency and quality of patient care delivered at St. Rose, including the Hospitalist Leadership and Clinical Operations Improvement committees. She is also the current chair of St. Rose’s Ethics committee.   

Rory Reid is a former member of the Clark County Commission and was its chairman from 2005-2010. Some of Reid’s professional and civic affiliations include former chair of the Nevada State Democratic Party, member of the Democratic National Committee, president of the Las Vegas Valley Water District, and vice chair of the Southern Nevada Health District. Reid is currently the founding partner of the Law Office of Rory Reid and co-host of a daily public affairs show called “What’s Your Point” on KSNV Channel 3. He was named among the “Best Lawyers in America” in 2012.

John Socha has worked for MGM Resorts International since 1998 and is currently Executive Director of Health Care Operations. Socha is responsible for design, implementation, and monitoring of strategies and programs that lead to the achievement of the company’s health care benefit program goals, and his primary duties include health care delivery process improvement and population health management efforts. Socha graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a degree in accounting. He is a former board member of Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Southern Nevada, and is an alumnus of the 2014 Leadership Las Vegas program.

Bruce L. Woodbury, an attorney, emphasizes the practice areas of personal injury and wrongful death, estate planning and probate, and business law. Mr. Woodbury graduated magna cum laude from the University of Utah and obtained his law degree from Stanford University. He was a member of the Board of Editors, Stanford Law Review, from 1967 to 1968. Mr. Woodbury served as a County Commissioner for Clark County from 1981 to 2008. He also served as a member of the Judicial Discipline Commission of Nevada, 1978-1982. In addition to the State Bar of Nevada, Mr. Woodbury is a member of the Nevada Justice Association and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. A portion of the Interstate 215 beltway is named in his honor.
