Emergency Room

Life is full of little and big emergencies—and Mercy Gilbert’s emergency room is always prepared to care for minor and life-threatening situations. Our emergency care team of board certified doctors, registered nurses, lab and radiology technicians and volunteers focus their efforts on making you well and comfortable.

No one goes to the emergency room anticipating a hospital stay, but sometimes further treatment or monitoring is necessary to get your back on your feet again. If admittance to Mercy Gilbert is necessary, our award-winning healing hospital is fully supported by heart, neurology, orthopedics and surgery services, among others.

The emergency room list or packet should include information such as:

Health insurance companies make policy adjustments annually so it is important to verify each year, which hospitals and emergency rooms are in your provider's network. Talk to your family's pediatrician, primary care doctor or specialist to find out when it is appropriate to go to the emergency room, especially if you already have a health condition. Sometimes an urgent care center can provide the treatment you need.
