For Visitors

We recognize the important role family and loved ones play in the healing process, and we encourage visitors to come when it is best for their loved one. You and your loved ones are important to us.

For an atmosphere of rest and healing, general hours of visitation are from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. but can vary depending on the patient's condition and specialty area. Visitors are guests of the patient and should use good judgment when determining the length of their visits.

After general visiting hours, security will screen all visitors by contacting the nursing unit. Only two visitors will be allowed in the room at one time to ensure patient safety. Other visitors are welcome to remain in the lobby until they are able to visit.

We understand that you want to be able to visit your loved ones when it’s convenient for you. Therefore, the hospital is open to visitors 24 hours a day, seven days a week; however, there are a few exceptions in certain areas. They are:

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

  • Parent/Guardian - 24 hours a day
  • General visitors - 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

  • Parent/Guardian – 24 hours a day
  • General Visiting – Anytime except
    6:45 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., and 6:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., to allow for change of shift

Labor and Delivery and Post Partum

  • Family/Care Partner – 24 hours a day
  • General Visiting - 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Health and Safety

Be Well. Please do not visit the hospital if you have any flu symptoms, including a fever over 100 degrees, cough, sore throat, runny nose, rash or diarrhea, of if you have recently been exposed to someone with symptoms.

Wash Your Hands. Be sure to wash or sanitize your hands before and after visiting your loved one. Proper hand hygiene is the best way to reduce the spread of germs.

No Smoking Campus. We are committed to caring for the health and safety of our patients, visitors and staff. Because of this pledge, smoking and using any tobacco products is prohibited in all areas of the Northridge Hospital campus, including exterior walkways and parking areas. People who smoke will need to refrain from smoking or leave the campus to smoke.  If you are a patient who smokes, nicotine replacement therapy is available. Please notify your doctor or nurse.
