Healing wounds is our speciality

St. John's Hospital Camarillo's Hyperbaric Oxygen and Wound Healing Center provides the most advanced therapies and the latest clinical options to treat problem wounds.

Our Center

The Hyperbaric Oxygen and Wound Healing Center at St. John’s Hospital Camarillo is an out-patient, hospital-based program providing treatment for problem wounds. Our program is affiliated with Cutiscare, a leader in wound management programs. Patients at our center receive treatment in the safety and comfort of a hospital setting with the expertise of our highly trained nurses, physicians, and therapists.

Our center offers three hyperbaric oxygen chambers capable of delivering up to three atmospheres of 100 percent oxygen, allowing us to treat even the most life-threatening emergencies in a safe and compassionate environment.

What is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy?

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is a procedure in which a patient breathes 100 percent oxygen while relaxing in a pressurized chamber. This quickly delivers high concentrations of oxygen to the blood stream and the wound bed, which rapidly accelerates the healing process and is effective in fighting certain types of infections. It also stimulates the growth of new blood vessels and improves circulation. A treatment profile is administered daily and the number of treatments received will depend on the diagnosis.
