If you or a loved one is seriously ill and looking for assistance in managing symptoms and care as well as in making life decisions, our Palliative Care team can offer advice and counsel. We provide comprehensive interdisciplinary care focusing on relief from suffering and improving quality of life for patients and families facing serious or advanced illness.

At St. Bernardine Medical Center we continuously strive for clinical excellence, but there are times when treatments simply aren't going to produce a cure.  By spending time with the patient and his or her family, we're able to discover their values and preferences so that we can then serve as their advocate with the rest of the health care team.

It is our belief that people have the right to be well-informed about their health and treatment options. It is our goal to see that their values are respected and their wishes are honored.
