Ambulance Membership Program

Dignity Health Medical Transport Services

Ambulance Membership Program

Without this membership, ground ambulance transport in Tehama County costs thousands of dollars per person. Most insurance plans cover only 50 percent to 80 percent of ambulance charges – which means the patient pays the rest.

While none of us expect to be in a situation where we or a loved one requires medically necessary ambulance transportation, a Dignity Health Medical Transport Services membership provides peace of mind because it provides, at no cost, medically necessary ground ambulance transportation within Tehama County when provided by Dignity Health Medical Transport Services.

With a Dignity Health Medical Transport Services membership, you will never have out-of-pocket expenses for medically necessary transport – from our hospital to another hospital, or from the scene of an emergency in Tehama County to our hospital.

In addition to protecting your family’s health in an emergency situation, and your financial security, your membership makes a difference in our community and helps ensure this vital, life saving service remains available to you, your family, friends, and neighbors.

How Does It Work?

A call to 911 is the first step to take in any emergency. The professionals at Dignity Health St. Elizabeth Community Hospital work in cooperation with your local Emergency Responders. The 911 dispatchers are trained to get specific information about the medical emergency from the caller and determine what type of medical transportation best fits the situation. If the 911 dispatcher determines you would benefit from medical transport, they will dispatch ground ambulances. Dignity Health St. Elizabeth Community Hospital specialists are on duty 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to respond to medical emergencies. Your membership with Dignity Health St. Elizabeth Community Hospital Cares will ensure the Interfacility transfers by Dignity Health St. Elizabeth Community Hospital.
