Imaging and Mammography

Diagnostic services are an important part of maintaining your overall health. Women need preventive screenings to remain healthy and keep abreast of health issues before they become serious. St. John’s offers imaging specific to the needs of women, including bone density screenings, mammography, and other breast exams. An annual mammogram is recommended for all women age 40 and older. St. John’s hospitals features full-service breast imaging with advanced equipment for digital mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and more. Our skilled staff is here to provide a comfortable experience.

The Integrated Breast Center at St. John's hospitals

The Integrated Breast Center (IBC) at St. John’s hospitals is a patient-centered program led by a multidisciplinary team of breast cancer care experts. Best of all, services at the IBC are free of charge. Our team reviews new and recurrent breast cancer cases and develops a personalized treatment plan with follow-up care. After, the patient can begin working with our oncology nurse navigator in their own unique treatment process using the latest scientific advances, personalized medicine, and mindful lifestyle approach.

Maternity Center

Having a baby is one of the most amazing moments in a woman’s life. We are here to provide mother and baby a loving start to that process. We have one of the most advanced neonatal intensive care units (NICU) in the area and we offer prenatal/birthing classes prior to the baby’s arrival.

Maternal-Fetal Medicine

Maternal-fetal medicine is a type of specialty care for women with high-risk pregnancies. Your doctor may recommend a maternal-fetal medicine specialist (often called an MFM doctor) to provide you with personalized care until you give birth. An MFM doctor is an OB/GYN doctor with advanced training in caring for women and their unborn babies during a high-risk pregnancy.

At Dignity Health, providing maternal-fetal medicine is a team effort. It involves your doctor and specialists who work together to ensure you have a healthy pregnancy and a safe delivery.

Urologic Incontinence (UI) in Women

Urinary incontinence (UI) is the loss of bladder control. Anyone can experience urinary incontinence, but it becomes most common with age. Urinary incontinence in women can be caused by pregnancy and vaginal childbirth, genetic factors, obesity and other medical conditions.

There are several different types of incontinence, and your doctor will determine which type you have by reviewing your complete medical history, discussing your symptoms with you and performing some common tests.
