Lung transplant surgery is a viable treatment option for many patients with end-stage, high-risk lung diseases. Lung transplants are among the most complicated surgical procedures, and lung transplant patients require lifelong care.

Lung Transplant Program – Quality Care
At St. Joseph’s, we believe that it is important to provide comprehensive care for patients, through every step of the lung transplant process. Our lung transplant team evaluates and prepares candidates for transplantation, performs the lung transplant procedure and provides post-transplant care.
Our lung transplant center also provides care to more than 75 post-lung transplant patients who received their transplant at another institution. Before St. Joseph's program was established, local transplant patients traveled throughout the country for care. St. Joseph’s now provides world-class care right in our community. Post-transplant patients also feel a sense of comfort knowing that they can be treated close to home, should they need emergency care.
