Latest Surgical Techniques

The orthopedic surgeons at St. Mary’s Medical Center use implants made from state-of-the-art materials that have the potential to last a lifetime, while minimizing the need for replacement surgery down the road. And if needed, custom devices can be molded. Of course, we’re familiar with a variety of orthopedic implant materials and will thoroughly discuss which components are right for you.

Minimally Invasive Orthopedic Surgery

Smaller incision surgery with soft tissue preservation is used for each patient to minimize the trauma of orthopedic surgery. These latest techniques help ensure early and rapid mobility to restore function quickly and safely. Computerized navigation tools are often used in complex cases to ensure surgical accuracy.

Our orthopedic surgeons also use newer anesthetic and cell technologies to minimize or eliminate the need for a blood transfusion. This allows us to perform replacement surgery for people who are unwilling or unable to accept blood transfusions.
