Public Transportation

MUNI bus lines 5 Fulton, 21 Hayes, and 33 Ashbury/18th all stop at St. Mary’s Medical Center:

  • 5 stops on Fulton Street
  • 21 stops on Hayes Street
  • 33 stops on Stanyan Street

You can also access St. Mary’s using MUNI Metro (street car). The closest stop is at Carl and Stanyan Streets. This stop is approximately a half-mile from St. Mary’s, and from there you may walk or connect to a MUNI street bus (33 Stanyan) to take you directly to the hospital.

If you plan to use BART, Caltrain, Golden Gate Transit, or another mode of public transportation to enter San Francisco, you will need to connect to a MUNI bus to reach St. Mary’s Medical Center. Please visit any of the following websites to plan your trip or find connection information:

Parking Information

St. Mary’s Medical Center offers an on-campus parking lot for patients and visitors. The lot is located on 1 Shrader Street, directly across from the main entrance to the hospital, and may be accessed from either Shrader or Stanyan streets. 

For frail or disabled patients, there is conveniently located disabled parking in front of St. Mary’s near the main lobby. 

For patients utilizing the 2250 Hayes Building (Cardiac Cath Lab, Cancer Center, physician offices), valet parking is available through the lot next to the 2250 Hayes entrance. It is located on Hayes Street just east of Stanyan Street.  

 

Valet Parking

For your convenience, St. Mary’s offers valet parking services in two locations: 

  • Main Parking Lot: The valet parking kiosk is located on Level A. Valet service is available Monday through Friday (except holidays) from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

  • Cancer Center Lot: This lot is located off Hayes Street, near Stanyan Street. Valet services is available Monday through Friday (except holidays) from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
