Visiting Information

At Sequoia Hospital, we understand having your loved ones with you is an important part of the healing process. Our visiting policies are as open as possible. However, to support a healing environment for all our patients, there are some limitations.

Please review the information below for visiting hours and guidelines. If you have questions, please call our main number at 855.243.8769.

General Guidelines

  • General visiting hours are 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week.

  • At 8 p.m., after-hours visiting begins. You will need to check in at the front desk inside the main entrance.

  • Please wash or gel your hands before and after visiting your loved one.

  • If your loved one is in isolation, please check with the nurse before entering the room. The nurse will tell you what is required when you enter and leave. This is for your safety and the safety of your loved one.

  • If you have a fever or cough, please don’t visit the hospital. Protect your loved one and others.

  • Children are welcome to visit. Note that occasionally during flu season, they may not be allowed in patient rooms. We can make exceptions, based on the situation.

  • Sequoia Hospital is a smoke-free campus.  This includes our grounds, parking facilities and offsite locations.

Birth Center

  • Birth Center visiting hours are 10:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.

  • Quiet time is strongly encouraged beginning at 8:30 p.m.

  • Please limit visitors to four people at a time.

Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

  • Our ICU does not have set visiting hours; however, we ask that only one visitor be present during shift changes from 6:30 - 8:30 a.m. and 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

  • Before entering, please use the intercom outside the ICU door to verify your loved one’s room number and make sure nothing is happening  on the unit that would preclude you from visiting.

  • Please wash and sanitize your hands when you enter and leave the ICU. Certain infections may require hand washing, not just sanitizer.

  • Between 2 and 4 p.m., we have “quiet time” to give patients much-needed rest. There may be other times when it is necessary to limit visitation.

  • There are times when your loved one needs to use a large number of medical devices. In that case, we may have to limit the number of visitors that can be safely accommodated in the room.

  • Please do not bring or send fresh flowers or plants. They carry bacteria that can cause infection.
