Our Community Health Improvement Grants program is one way we are working collaboratively with others to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable and underserved populations in the communities we serve. Organizations that receive grant funds address significant Community Health Needs Assessment priorities and health equity in areas such as improving access to physical and mental health care, social services, safe shelter and housing, food, education and training, and more.
Dignity Health's Global Mission Grant Program awards grants to projects serving low-income communities primarily in countries where our Dignity Health Sponsors currently serve. Grant awards vary between $5,000 and $25,000. Last year, grants were awarded to projects in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, South Sudan, Tanzania, Romania, and in low-income communities around the globe suffering from war and natural disasters.
