Dr. Frey is a physician executive and academic leader with strong clinical informatics, business, and leadership qualifications. He has over thirty years of experience in successful program development, leadership of healthcare teams, and technology project management. His career includes major leadership roles at Duke University, Providence Health, University of Washington and Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Frey is currently responsible for physician integration and engagement, evidence based practice and system redesign, and physician leadership development. Additionally, he is the senior physician executive of the 290+ physician, academic multispecialty medical group in Phoenix.
He holds an MD degree for the Medical College of Virginia, an MBA from Duke University, is Professor of Biomedical Informatics, University of Arizona School of Medicine – Phoenix. He is board certified in both Family Medicine and Clinical Informatics. He enjoys travel, golf, family and church activities.
