Chandler Regional's Wound Healing Center Recognized as Center of Distinction

Posted in:
Chandler Regional Medical Center’s Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Oxygen Center was recognized by Healogics, Inc. with the Center of Distinction Award. The Center is the only hospital in Arizona to receive this prestigious honor given to hospitals for achieving stellar patient outcomes for 12 consecutive months.

“We are very honored to receive this award,” said Brian Paterick, M.D. the center’s medical director. “Our center heals the chronic wounds of patients who might otherwise experience an amputation or other life-threatening condition. More than five million people suffer from chronic wound afflictions every year and we are proud to provide this service to our community and will continue to work to better the lives of all of our patients.”

Healogics, Inc. recognizes healthcare facilities with this distinction for going above and beyond in patient care and safety. To receive designation as a Center of Distinction, the center must meet certain key clinical indicators, including having a 92 percent patient satisfaction rate and a 91 percent wound healing rate within 30 median days to heal, among other quality outcomes. Chandler Regional’s center is a member of the Healogics, Inc. network, which includes 500 facilities that provide access to benchmarking data and substantial experience in treating more than two million wounds annually.

Earlier this year, the center received its third accreditation from the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS). The center is located at 1875 W. Frye Rd. in Chandler. For more information, please call (480) 728-3701 or visit ChandlerRegional.org.
