Valley's Best Doctors Found at Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert

PHOENIX magazine names 2013 “Top Docs”

The votes are in, the names are out and 60 physicians considered “Top Docs” by PHOENIX magazine can be found at Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert Medical Centers, Dignity Health™ Members. The 2013 edition of the magazine’s most popular issue features a peer-recommended list published annually featuring 502 local physicians in 50 specialties.

“It means a great deal to be a part of the 2013 group of Top Docs,” said Judy Messer, M.D., medical director of Mercy Gilbert’s emergency department. “To know we’re named because of the support of our peers is a wonderful feeling.”

PHOENIX magazine’s top doctors are selected through a survey of 5,000 randomly selected Valley doctors each year. The doctors are asked to nominate peers who, in their judgment, represent the best in their field. Now in its 19th year, the list includes the Valley’s best doctors in 50 different medical specialties. In order to qualify, nominees must be board certified by the medical board governing their respective field. In addition, each nominee’s name is verified through the state’s medical boards to ensure absence of malpractice lawsuits or settlements. Only the best and most experienced doctors who are known for providing quality medical care qualify to be listed as a Top Doc.

“It speaks volumes that 60 doctors with privileges at our hospitals are on this list,” says Tim Bricker, president and CEO of Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert Medical Centers. “I’m proud that these doctors are committed to practicing medicine and providing for the communities of Chandler and Gilbert.”
