Dr. Bies is the Chief Medical Officer for Dignity Health East Valley Hospitals. He Is an interventional cardiologist, and Founder and past Director of the Cardiac CTA Program in Chandler, AZ. He has been active in Cardiac CTA education for over 10 years. He has held Cardiovascular Program positions in both academic medicine and private practice, with over 40 publications in the clinical and basic sciences. Dr. Bies was an Assistant Professor of the Division of Cardiology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He also served as Chairman of the Cardiovascular Department and Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Chandler Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Bies has served as Vice President for the Certification Board of Cardiovascular CT, 2011-2016 and is a Fellow of the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography. He is certified by the Society as a Level III Instructor. He has co-authored a chapter in the textbook “The Complete Guide to Cardiac CT”.
Dignity Health in the East Valley is accredited by the Arizona Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Financial relationships of the individual's spouse or partner must also be disclosed, if the nature of the relationship could influence the objectivity of the individual in a position to control the content of the CME. The Accreditation Council for CME describes relevant financial relationships as those in any amount occurring within the past 12 months that create a conflict of interest. Individuals who refuse to disclose will be disqualified from participation in the development, management, presentation, or evaluation of the CME activity.
