Before you develop Type 2 diabetes, you almost always have pre-diabetes. Pre-diabetes occurs when your blood sugar level is higher than normal, but not high enough to be diagnosed as diabetes. An estimated 79 million people have this condition.
Learn what pre-diabetes is and how it is diagnosed. We will discuss results from the Diabetes Prevention Program on delaying or preventing the onset of Type 2 diabetes. Also learn how to implement a healthy eating and exercising program. We now offer pre-diabetes classes for youth ages 10 to 17. Class availability is based upon demand. For more information or to register for the class, please call (480) 728-3535.
