Edward Donahue, MD, MS, FACS, is Chief Medical Officer of St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center.

Dr. Donahue has been part of the St. Joseph’s team for more than 30 years and has served in several leadership positions including Chief of Department of Surgery, Chair of the Cancer Committee, and Vice Chief of Staff. As Chief Medical Offer, Dr. Donahue focuses on quality and the patient experience, medical staff relations, and growth.

Dr. Donahue opened his surgical practice in Phoenix in 1984, and has been devoted to caring for women with breast cancer and disease. Dr. Donahue founded the Breast Evaluation Clinic at St. Joseph’s and served as medical director of the hospital’s Comprehensive Cancer Center for six years. He is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, and the National Ultrasound Faculty. In addition, he has served as the President of the Maricopa County Medical Society and President of the Arizona Foundation for Medical Care. He has received many accolades during his career.
