Jeff O'Malley is the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for St. Joseph’s Hospital & Medical Center.

As Vice President of Strategy and Business Development, his responsibilities include the development and achievement of the organizational mission and strategy through the effectiveness of all new business project plans and start ups.

He is responsible for developing and executing strategies and business plans to support the growth of the hospital and specialized centers of excellence. In addition, he oversees the design and implementation of processes that ensure the development of the hospital strategic and business plans in concert with the strategic and business planning processes ant timelines established by the broaderDignity Healthorganization. The position includes leading the strategic planning process which integrates and aligns clinical excellence, service line growth, teaching and research components in promotion of the mission ofSt. Joseph'sin improving the health of the communities served.

He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Arizona State University’s School of Accountancy and his Masters in Business Administration, Finance Concentration from the University of New Mexico, Anderson School of Management in Albuquerque, NM, graduating top of class. He also completed the Physician Leadership and Development Program at the University of New Mexico.

Prior to his current role, Jeff held the position of Director of Planning and Decision Support at St. Joseph’s Hospital & Medical Center and was responsible for overseeing the integration of strategic and financial planning processes, including 10-year financial statement preparation. Jeff has served in several financial and healthcare leadership positions in his 17 years of healthcare experience working in managed care, a private physician specialty group, and several tertiary hospitals. Jeff also co-founded The Solutions Group, an independent healthcare consulting group servicing rural hospital Emergency Departments in the areas of charge capture, coding and documentation, APC readiness and compliance and Charge master Reviews/Pricing Strategies.

Jeff has served as Campaign Chairperson for the United Way of Central New Mexico at Presbyterian Healthcare Services and was recognized for achieving the largest increase in Leadership Giving during that campaign year. Jeff is currently Treasurer for the Arizona Chapter of Healthcare Financial Management Association and has been a Board Officer since 2008.
