Haidar Yassin, MD

Dr. Haidar YassinDr. Yassin received his medical degree from the University of Baghdad-Iraq. After completing his internship and residency at the SUNY Downstate at Long Island College Hospital, he completed his fellowship in cardiology at the State University of New York-Downstate Medical center at the University Hospital of Brooklyn and interventional cardiology training at Winthrop University Hospital in New York. 

Dr. Yassin is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology, practicing the full spectrum of invasive and noninvasive cardiology with special interest in structural heart disease from aortic and pulmonic valve replacement, mitral valve repair, congenital defect repair (ASD/PFO) and septal ablation for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, Left Atrial Appendage closure as well as high-risk coronary intervention with hemodynamic LV support devices as well as chronic total occlusions and coronary and peripheral interventions and percutaneous management of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and acute pulmonary embolism (acute PE).

Dr. Yassin is an investigator in multitude of clinical trials in structural heart field.
