The twelve-month program will provide the training necessary for graduates to provide exceptional pharmaceutical care to a diverse patient population. Additionally, the program offers the flexibility to tailor resident experiences to meet individual professional goals.

Truck and two residents.Required Experiences*  

  • Orientation to Pharmacy Residency and Pharmacy Systems (July)
  • Internal Medicine
  • Infectious Diseases
  • Neonatal Intensive Care
  • Emergency Medicine
  • Medical Intensive Care
  • Pharmacy Practice
  • Pharmacy Staffing (10 month longitudinal)
  • Pharmacy Administration and Quality (12 month longitudinal)
  • Research Fundamentals and Application (12 month longitudinal)

Four Elective Experiences from the Following* 

  • Academia (ID-focused)
  • Advanced Medical Intensive Care
  • Cardiology
  • Inpatient Oncology/Hematology
  • Investigational Drug Services
  • Neonatal Intensive Care
  • Nephrology
  • Neurology
  • Outpatient Oncology/Hematology at the Dignity Health – Cancer Institute at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center
  • Pharmacy Informatics
  • Solid Organ Transplant
  • Trauma
