Spiritual Care

In times of crisis, spirituality can help you maintain your health, cope with illness, traumas, and losses, and adjust to life transitions.

Dignity Health embraces the spiritual dimension of life and is committed to providing spiritual care services to our patients, families and caregivers.

At St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, our professional chaplain helps you and your family draw upon your religious traditions, faith convictions or sense of life purpose to help you face crisis situations. Spiritual caregivers assist those who are dealing with issues such as fear, loneliness, hopelessness, and questions of meaning. Chaplains seek to embody compassion and to promote healing as they accompany you on your journey through illness, and at times, through death.
