Chenthilmurugan Rathnasabapathy, MD, is a board certified physician in internal medicine. His interests include benign and malignant oncology of the head and neck, thoracic areas, as well as solid tumor oncology.
Dr. Rathnasabapathy focuses primarily on diagnostic and chemotherapeutic treatment as well as in clinical research. Other expertise includes head and neck, lung, colon, stomach, pancreatic, bladder and prostate cancers and hematological malignancies such as myeloma and lymphoma malignancies.
Dr. Rathnasabapathy received his undergraduate medical degree from University of Madras, India and pursued research activities with National Institutes of Health working for perinatology research branch of National Institutes of Child Health and Human Development. Then he went on to pursue residency training in internal medicine and fellowship in hematology and oncology at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Strong communication with his patients is important to him. He strives to explain their medical condition, discuss their treatment options and answer their questions in plain language. He wants no patient to leave thinking they were rushed through their visit.
