Hack Jae Kim, MD, MSc

Dr. Kim earned his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Creighton, and went on to complete a clinical fellowship in gastroenterology from Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He also has his master of science in clinical research from Mayo Graduate School in Rochester, Minnesota.

Prior to joining Dignity Health, Dr. Kim co-founded Arizona Center for Digestive Health and pursued patient care and clinical research at Mayo Clinic Rochester and Scottsdale where he trained fellows and residents in gastroenterology, surgery and internal medicine. He also served as director of the Esophageal Clinic at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Dr. Kim has been published in many major GI journals such as Gastroenterology, American Journal of Gastroenterology, Gut, and Neurogastroenterology & Motility. His clinical expertise includes the treatment and care of GERD, Barrett’s Esophagus, esophageal cancer, gastrointestinal motility as well as colon cancer prevention. He performs procedures such as EGD, radiofrequency ablation (RFA), cryoablation, enteroscopy, therapeautic EGD, video capsule endoscopy and colonoscopy.
