Dr. Sachdev is the medical director of endoscopy in the Center for Digestive Health at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center.
He earned his medical degree from Dayanand Medical College and Hospital in Ludhiana, Punjab, India, where he went on to complete his internship. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Maricopa Medical Center in
Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Sachdev went on to complete a fellowship in general and transplant hepatology at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona, a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee, and a fellowship in advanced therapeutic endoscopy at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.
Prior to joining Dignity Health, Dr. Sachdev cofounded Arizona Center for Digestive Health. He has held academic positions as an assistant professor of Medicine at the University of Tennessee, and an instructor of Medicine at Northwestern University, Chicago. Currently he is an assistant professor of Medicine at the University of Arizona and Creighton University of medical sciences.
Dr. Sachdev has been invited to be a presenter at a number of liver and hepatology related forums. He served as primary investigator in two clinical trials, and has been published in a number of research and medical journals. His clinical expertise includes therapeutic endoscopy, advanced and complex procedures, management of pancreatobiliary disorders, gastrointestinal cancer and liver transplant. Dr. Sachdev is also fellowship trained in various procedures such as endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), therapeutic ERCP, endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), stent placement, complex polypectomy, EGD and colonoscopy.
