St. Joseph's Vascular Clinic provides diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care for multiple vascular and peripheral vascular diseases. Vascular medicine focuses on problems involving the circulatory system outside of the heart, including the arteries, veins and lymphatic system.

Diagnosis Of Vascular Conditions

Conditions can be diagnosed by up-to-date ultrasound CT Angiogram and MRA. The ultrasound is the basis of most diagnosis methods and can include: carotid ultrasound, abdominal aortic ultrasound or a venous and arterial ultrasounds.

Comprehensive Treatment Options

Minimally invasive treatments, such as endovascular stents and thrombolysis are available for both arterial and venous diseases as well as reconstruction surgery. Other treatments include:

  • Abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, including endoluminal grafting
  • Atherectomy (removal of plaque from within an artery)
  • Balloon angioplasty
  • Bypass grafting
  • Carotid endarterectomy (removal of plaque in the carotid artery)
