Greg S. Keller, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon in the orthopedic trauma service at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. He is a board-certified physician with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Keller specializes in shoulder and elbow surgery, knee reconstruction and sports medicine. In addition, he continues to see patients with elective problems in his outpatient clinic. Dr. Keller has spent time as a team physician at the high school, college, and professional levels. He has served as a reviewer of journal submissions for the Journal of Arthroscopy. He has received the prestigious John Charnley Award for his work on thromboembolic disease as a complication of joint replacement surgery and has performed basic science research which has been presented at national orthopaedic meetings.
He earned his medical degree from the Pennsylvania State University Hershey Medical Center and completed his residency training at the Albany Medical Center in New York. He has completed a sports medicine fellowship at the Institute for Bone and Joint Disorders and a shoulder fellowship at Maricopa Medical Center.
While on staff at the Phoenix Orthopaedic Residency program in 2000, he served as chief of the Adult Reconstruction Service. He then proceeded to serve as a faculty member at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA where he trained resident physicians in the treatment of shoulder, elbow, knee and sports related musculoskeletal disorders. In 2003, he returned to the Phoenix Orthopaedic Residency Program and served as Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Phoenix Memorial Hospital. In 2005, he joined the St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center Trauma Service where he now treats adult patients with musculoskeletal trauma.
