Leonard S. Bodell, MD, is a Hand Surgeon in the Orthopedics Department at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Bodell is board certified in Orthopedics and in Orthopedic Surgery of the Hand. He has received additional certification in Pain Management and Hyperbaric Medicine.
Dr. Bodell’s expertise involves hand surgery, chronic pain management and sports medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Pain Management, American College of Occupational Medicine, American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, American College of Surgeons, among other national organizations.
Dr. Bodell received his medical degree from the New York Medical College. He completed both his residency in Orthopedics and his hand fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
He is an Adjunct Professor at Arizona State University Department of Anthropology, Affiliate Assistant Professor for Midwestern University and Visiting Professor for Sahlgrenska Hospital Gothenburg Sweden. He has also been actively involved with medical companies in the advancement and design of small joint prostheses and in clinical research of these new implants.
