Using a conservative surgical approach to patient care and work with the patient to identify a customized treatment plan, my goal is to get patients moving again.  Life is motion, motion is life. If we can meet the patient’s goals without doing surgery that is an option we will evaluate together. 

About Dr. Burk

Education

Undergraduate degree from Arizona State University in Biology graduating magna cum laude.

 

Medical Degree at University of Arizona College of Medicine.

 

Internship and Residency at the University of Arizona in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.

 

Clinical Instructor of Adult Reconstructive Surgery at Stanford University Medical Center.

 

Specialties

Skilled in Robotic technology, computer-navigated procedures, minimally invasive and muscle-sparing surgical techniques; Dr. Burk specializes in the most complex cases of total hip and knee joint replacement.  He provides second opinions and performs revision surgeries. 

Biography

Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Burk is a member of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. 

He currently holds the rank of Adjunct Assistant Professor of Surgery at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences Bethesda, MD and is an active member of the United States Navy Reserve as an Orthopedic.

Dr. Burk has published many articles on the topics of total hip arthroplasty, musculoskeletal injuries and trauma patients with extremity fractures.
