A sports injury can be devistating to an athlete. I work with my patients to diagnose the injury and develop a comprehensive treatment plan that gets them back to their activity quickly and work together to achieve their goals.
He earned a BS in Biology from University of Texas, Arlington, TX. He earned Dean’s List Honor Roll and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
He completed his medical degree at The University of Texas Medical Health Sciences Center, San Antonio, TX.
He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at The University of Southern California, LA, CA.
Dr. Rouhipour completed his first fellowship in orthopaedic trauma surgery at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, NC.
He completed his second fellowship in orthopaedic sports surgery and shoulder and elbow reconstruction at The University of Southern California, LA, CA
Dr. Rouhipour is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in operative and non-operative treatment of sports and traumatic injuries.
He performs ultrasound guided shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and ankle injections.
He performs arthroscopic shoulder and knee sports injury reconstructions, including rotator cuff repairs, shoulder dislocation surgeries, ACL reconstructions and meniscal debridement and repairs.
He also treats orthopaedic fractures and dislocations conservatively and operatively based upon individual patient expectations and evidence based care.
Dr. Rouhipour was born and raised in TX.
After he completed his second fellowship training he was assistant team physician for the University of Southern California Division 1 Teams. He was a team physician for the San Jose Sabercats. He has been part of the Orthopaedic Surgery Clinical Faculty at UCSF, San Francisco, CA, and University of Texas Health Orthopaedic Surgery, San Antonio, TX.
He is also faculty for the AO, a premier international group that pioneered modern fracture care, and is involved in training the next generation of surgeons and perioperative staff. He is fluent in Spanish and Persian. Dr. Rouhipour enjoys time with his family. In his spare time, he enjoys being active and outdoors including soccer, mountain biking, snowboarding, surfing, and basketball.
