Meet Chinyere Nwosu, DO
Gastroenterology
Dr. Nwosu is a faculty provider in the Gastroenterology Department at Dignity Health Medical Group.
She specializes in general gastrointestinal conditions with a focus on hepatology.
Dr. Nwosu is a nurturing provider who feels that everyone should be treated like a ‘VIP’ when getting healthcare. I want to help people feel better and to be able to make a positive change in their life. “I will treat my patients the same way I would like to be treated – with trust, respect and humankindness,”
Dr. Nwosu is Fellowship Trained in Gastroenterology and specializes in general gastrointestinal conditions with a focus on hepatology. She graduated from St. Johns University with a core concentration in Biology and a minor in Secondary Education. She went on to New York College of Osteopathic Medicine where shear earned her doctorate of osteopathy. She completed her internship and residency at Stony Brook University Hospital where she became chief resident and ultimately completed her fellowship.
Gastrointestinal and Hepatology Diseases
She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine – Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. She is also a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease. Dr. Nwosu has been recognized with teaching and honor society awards.
