The Center for Sports Medicine physical therapy team in San Francisco is highly trained and committed to providing individualized treatment. Furthering the dreams of athletes, dancers, performers and active people throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area, you receive a physical therapy plan tailored to your needs, helping you reach your top performance goals.
Pinder Baidwan, MPT, specializes in knee, shoulder, spine, and gait dysfunctions. She is certified in Pilates and a Titleist Golf Fitness Instructor and has further training in Myofascial Decompression/Cupping. She received her MS in physical therapy from Samuel Merritt University.
Devon Chen, DPT, enjoys treating orthopedic and sports/dance related injuries through a combination of manual therapy techniques, neuromuscular re-education and therapeutic exercises. She believes in education and collaborating to ensure her patients get back to their active lifestyles. Devon received her doctorate and MS in physical therapy from UCSF.
Leonard Hashizume, PT, has treated professional, college, and high school athletes in many sports including dancers - ballet, modern, and ballroom styles. Len is trained in Active Release Technique (ART) for the lower extremity. He received his BS in physical therapy from California State, Northridge, and is a Certified Weight Trainer, International Weightlifting Association.
Melissa Lee, MPT, has years of experience with specialized training in neurology, pediatrics and sports medicine. Melissa emphasizes exercise-based approaches to treatment, in addition to manual therapy skills to treat sport- and spine-related injuries. She received her MS in physical therapy from the University of St. Augustine, Florida.
Oscar A. Perez, PT, MPT, COMT, FMS-1, is a certified orthopedic manual therapist and is certified in Pilates from Balanced Body University. His treatment philosophy prioritizes pain reduction and optimizes functional movements for improving all activities. He customizes rehabilitation programs by tailoring manual interventions, strength training principles, and exercises for flexibility and balance. Oscar is bilingual in Spanish and English.
Sarah Potoczny, MPT, utilizes the Polestar Pilates® methods along with different hands-on treatment techniques, movement forms and scientific principles to enhance rapid recovery or performance. She received her BS in exercise science, and her master’s in physical therapy from the University of Montana.
