Palliative care helps individuals through all stages of illness. It is best introduced early in care and provided at the same time as curative treatments.
No. Hospice care is meant specifically for those approaching the last stages of life, while palliative care is appropriate for any stage of a serious illness.
Please speak with your doctor for a referral or call the palliative care team directly at 415.363.6856. We are available Monday through Friday. Weekend and evening palliative care support is offered through our Spiritual Care Department who can be reached at 415.353.6343.
