Our services include genetic counseling, infusion, integrative therapies and radiation oncology. We use MRIs and CT scans to help with a diagnosis.
Through clinical trials, our researchers are able to determine whether new treatments are safe, effective and work better than current treatments.
CyberKnife is also available. This non-invasive alternative to surgery treats both cancerous and non-cancerous tumors anywhere in the body. The treatment, which is painless, delivers high-dose radiation beams to tumors with extreme accuracy. CyberKnife is located in San Francisco at our sister hospital, Saint Francis.

Lung cancer remains a leading cause of cancer death in the United States. At the Comprehensive Lung Center at St. Mary’s we provide screenings to help prevent cancer as well as advanced diagnostics to treat cancer should it be detected. Lung cancer screening is available to anyone at high risk. You may make an appointment yourself, or have your doctor refer you. Learn More
Genetic counseling can help determine if you carry specific gene markers that might make you more at risk for developing certain cancers. The BRCA gene, for instance, can help detect your risk for breast cancer. The Cancer Center at St. Mary’s Medical Center combines expert genetic counseling with access to the latest genetic tests.
