In Santa Maria
Bereavement Support Services: A bereavement counselor is available to meet with you individually upon request. Please call (805) 739-3830 to set an appointment.
Grieving our Parents: For adult children who have lost one or both parents. This ongoing support group meets every first and third Tuesday, 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm. Please call (805) 739-3830 for more information and/or registration.
Individual Counseling: To assist the bereaved with problem solving. (805) 739-3830
In-services for health care professionals: Professional helpers often experience difficult grief reactions as well as symptoms of burnout. The in-service can assist the facility with ways to attend to themselves in a manner that will prevent burnout and honor those they would like to remember. (805) 739-3830
Men in Grief: Held every Saturday morning at 10 a.m. This ongoing support group provides men with a safe environment to discuss issues relating to grief and loss. Please call (805) 739-3830 for registration.
Newly Bereaved Support Program: For individuals who have lost a spouse less than a year. This group meets every Monday at 1:00 p.m. Please call (805) 739-3830 for registration.
Oasis Senior Center:Bereavement support for all significant loss. Please call(805) 937-9750.
Parent’s Grief Support Group for the loss of child prenatal through age 5: This group meets every 2nd and 4th Tuesday, 4:30 pm -6:00 p.m. For more information please call (805) 739-3830.
Parents Sharing Sorrow and Hope: Loss of a child (of any age) support group: Meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at Church of Christ, 795 E. Foster Road. Please call (805) 466-0294for registration.
Second Year Loss and Beyond: For widows or widowers who have lost their spouse for more than a year. For registration, please call (805) 739-3830.
