Volunteering at St. John's
The Perinatal Family Advisory Board (PFAB) meets monthly and works collaboratively with hospital administration and staff of St. John’s Regional Medical Center to insure that Obstetrics (OB) patients remain at the heart of all we do.
Hospital representatives to the Perinatal Family Advisory Board are committed to promoting synergistic relationships between St. John’s Regional Medical Center and the patients we serve. We promise to listen objectively to the thoughts and concerns of our patients and their families, as well as our community leaders. We promise to be transparent and forthright. We commit to bringing their recommendations to the leadership of our hospital as a vehicle for change.
Patient representatives to the PFAB have received perinatal and maternity care at St. John’s Regional Medical Center and represent the diverse backgrounds, diagnoses, and cultures that we serve. We provide lunch at this meeting. Your child/children are welcome to attend the meetings with you.
Board members make a commitment for one calendar year. The Board will meet once a month. Board members may be asked to participate in activities such as educational workshops and community outreach.
