Liver Disease & Transplantation Services

Liver, Disease and Transplantation - Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) Arizona
Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) hepatology and liver specialists provide exceptional patient care and are part of one of the largest programs in the nation for the treatment of hepatitis C. We also care for patients with chronic liver disease, metabolic liver disease and hepatobiliary cancers.

Liver disease and transplantation at DHMG

Unlike other centers, the DHMG Liver Disease and Transplantation team offers a whole-body approach to liver disease, investing equally in the prevention and treatment of early-stage disease as well as end-stage disease management. We treat one of the highest volumes of hepatitis C patients in the country and our team includes transplant hepatologists, infection disease specialists, and community surgeons.

All of Dignity Health Medical Group’s hepatologists are fellowship trained and board certified—or working towards their board certification—in internal medicine, gastroenterology, and liver transplantation. When you choose a physician who is certified, you can be confident he or she meets nationally recognized standards for education, knowledge, experience and skills to provide high quality care in a specific medical specialty, above and beyond basic medical licensure.
Early detection of liver disease is key to successful treatment. Our specialists work with you to ensure an accurate diagnosis in order to develop a customized, effective treatment plan quickly. Our team includes nationally recognized physicians and U.S. News & World Report Top Docs.

Services include:

  • Consultations and genetic testing
  • Diagnostic testing
  • Elastography, a noninvasive method to stage liver disease
  • Liver imaging with CT, MR and ultrasound
  • Medication and dietary therapy
  • Treatment planning and assessments
