Early detection is the best weapon to fight any disease. In today’s Wellness Wednesday segment, we explain that, through the Engelstad R.E.D. Rose Program, our Dignity Health Wellness Centers can provide free clinical breast exams and other services for women and men who don’t have adequate health care resources. Bilingual services are available. For more information visit R.E.D. Rose or call us at (702) 620-7858.

Prediabetes (October 6, 2021)

1 in 3 American adults has prediabetes and close to 90% of them don’t know they have it. Are you one of them? Prediabetes is when someone’s blood sugar level is too high but not quite high enough for a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes. Left untreated, it can easily become type 2 diabetes. So take the prediabetes risk test now to see where you stand. It’s just seven easy questions. Click here to take the test

Detected early, prediabetes can often be reversed with small changes to your diet, an increase in physical activity, and lower stress. Changing your lifestyle can be hard to do on your own, but Dignity Health Wellness Centers can help support you. We have a class starting soon. Learn more here or call us for more information. Don’t just do it for yourself. Do it for all the people in your life.
