St. Rose|Stanford Neurosurgery Program

The collaboration between Dignity Health - St. Rose Dominican and Stanford Hospital & Clinics, one of the country's most respected medical institutions, was developed to enhance adult and pediatric neurological services in southern Nevada.

St. Rose|Stanford Clinics

The St. Rose|Stanford partnership gives local residents access to the highest level of neurological care without the need to travel out of state.

The affiliation with Stanford Hospital & Clinics marks the first time the well-known medical institution has ventured out of state for a clinical collaboration. This exciting partnership combines the high levels of quality and community trust already established at Dignity Health - St. Rose Dominican hospitals with the world-renowned expertise of physicians of Stanford Hospital & Clinics in the treatment of neurological disorders.

The Neurosurgery Surgeons

The St. Rose|Stanford Clinics' Neurosurgery Program is staffed by established local physicians who are members of Stanford faculty, bringing this sought after medical specialty to southern Nevada.

Randal Peoples, M.D., Professor, Stanford University Department of Neurosurgery and local physician, is the clinic's medical director. A neurosurgeon, Peoples works directly with St. Rose Dominican and his Stanford counterparts to implement new protocols and expand the neurological services provided at St. Rose Dominican, especially in the area of complex adult and pediatric neurosurgical cases.

Neurosurgeon and Clinical Associate Professor of Neurosurgery for Stanford School of Medicine, Bohdan Chopko, M.D., Ph.D., joined the St. Rose|Stanford Clinic in September 2013. Chopko is well known for his surgical excellence, his patented bone implants, and his lectures on minimally invasive spine surgery techniques. He treats a broad range of neurological conditions, with particular emphasis on cerebrovascular, skull base and spinal conditions.

Enhancing the Neuroscience Services at St. Rose

The clinic services currently offered at all three St. Rose Dominican campuses include stroke and spine care and in-patient rehabilitation services at the Rose de Lima Campus.

The affiliation of St. Rose Dominican and Stanford Hospital & Clinics maintains the independence of both medical centers while offering a "satellite office" that fosters partnership and collaboration among staff at both institutions.
