Grass Valley: Diabetes 101

In this two-hour class, learn the basics of how to prevent diabetes onset, and how to live your best life with diabetes. We will discuss what diabetes is, as well as specifics like A1C, blood sugar control, nutrition, personal care, exercise, and stress reduction.

Cost: $20 per participant (one support person per participant is welcome)

Grass Valley: Diabetes Empowerment Education Program (DEEP)

This six-week class is designed to take you “deeper” into the myriad of lifestyle changes that are suggested for healthy living with diabetes. It is appropriate for persons living with Diabetes and pre-Diabetes. Topics include: Blood sugar monitoring, medications, exercise, preventing complications, healthy food choices and stress reduction.
Cost: $120 per participant
Instructor: Janet Moore, MS, RD, CDE




Woodland: Diabetes Group Education

Information is presented in a group setting that includes: diabetes disease management, glucose monitoring and how to manage blood sugars, meal planning and heart healthy eating, exercise and weight management and medications purpose and lab values.

Woodland: Diabetes Education in Spanish 

Woodland Memorial Hospital Community Education Department presents a six-week diabetic education series. Classes cover diet, exercise, meal planning, disease management, and glucose monitoring.
Classes are open to the community and are free.
