Abdur Aqueel, MD | Dallas,TX | Medical School: Escuela Latinoamericana de Medicina, Cuba
Dr. Aqeel was born and raised in Pakistan. He fell in love with medicine during a volunteer activity together with Cuban doctors who were working in Pakistan during an earthquake in 2005. In his free time, he enjoyed cooking for his daughter and spending time socializing with family and friends.
As a San Diego native, Dr. Blaseio enjoys the great outdoors, growing his own vegetables and backpacking. His medical interests include ultrasound and procedure medicine.
Dr. Bomediano was born in Los Angeles and raised in Carson. She completed her undergraduate studies at UCLA as a psychology major. Dr. Bomediano loves interacting with patients; in fact her medical interests include community medicine, human behavior, and delivering babies. In her free time, you can find Dr. Bomediano hiking, planning her next traveling experience and spending time with her dog.
Kristoffer Chin, DO | Los Angeles, CA | Medical School: Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine, California
Dr. Chin is a Los Angeles native. Growing up his family owned a video store five miles away from CHMC. He is excited to serve the community. His medical interests include outpatient medicine, education medicine and community medicine. Dr. Chin’s hobbies include playing basketball, tennis, and running. He also has an interest in technology and film.
Daniel Kwon, DO | Corona, CA | Medical School: Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Pennsylvania
Dr. Kwon was born in South Korea and has been in the US since the rip age of one. He has spent most of his life in Southern California. Dr. Kwon is excited by community medicine, underserved medicine, global health, and functional medicine. Most of his free time is spent with his wife exploring the outdoors.
Nahim Mizan, MD | Los Angeles, CA | Medical School: American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, St. Maarten
Dr. Mizan is very active in his community, as he volunteers weekly at a food pantry delivering food and clothing to the homeless in Skid row and offers free health screenings monthly. He recently returned from a month-long medical relief mission to the Rohingya refugee camps in Bangladesh where he and his colleagues saw hundreds of patients and established a mental health clinic. On his free time, Dr. Mizan is an avid trail runner, theatre geek, and foodie.
Archana Prasad, MD | Los Angeles, CA | Medical School: Ross University School of Medicine, Barbados
Dr. Prasad was born in India and came to the United States at the age of nine. After completing her undergraduate studies at UC Davis as an Art History major, she found her calling in medicine. She enjoys reading historical fiction, painting, and trying different coffee from around the world.
Dr. Vazaquez-Bojorquez enjoyed having the opportunity to work with underserved communities and develop her interest in Geriatrics during her medical school training in Mexico. Her medical interests include women's health, urgent care and geriatrics. For fun, Dr. Vazquez-Bojorquez enjoys traveling and attending sports games.
Our faculty strives to live up to their reputation of being the most supportive and approachable, while teaching residents to treat a diverse, underserved patient population. We focus on training outstanding, balanced residents, in a hospital and outpatient environment dedicated to teamwork, community service, work/life balance and physician wellness. Residents cite our faculty as the highlight of the program and the reason they came here.
