Giovani Cruz Cruz, MD | Oaxaca, Mexico | Medical School: Universidad Autonoma Benito Juarez de Oaxaca

Dr. Cruz was born and raised in Oaxaca, Mexico. He graduated from Universidad Autonoma Benito Juarez de Oaxaca. He enjoys watercolor painting, watching movies and documentaries (sci-fi, Astronomy), cooking and Playing Grand Theft Auto 5.

 

Farrahi

Layla Farrahi, DO | Los Angeles, CA |  Medical School: Western University of Health Sciences 

Dr. Farrahi is originally from Los Angeles and graduated medical school from Western University of Health Sciences. She chose CHMC for its diverse patient population of DTLA. Her hobbies include spending time with family/friends and hiking through all the LA trails.

 

 

Jones

Juliana Jones, MD | Southern CA | Medical School: Ross University School of Medicine, Barbados;

Dr. Jones became passionate about family medicine because of her interests in preventative care and health education. She has been a member of CAFP to help program and advance Family Medicine. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, baking, and doing any outdoor sports/activities.

 

Khodaparast

Nafiseh Khodaparast, DO | Irvine, CA | Medical School: A. T. Still School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona

Dr. Khodaparast is from Irvine, CA and graduated from A. T. Still School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona. She is particularly excited to collaborate with residents and faculty and serve the diverse population of downtown Los Angeles. In her free time, she enjoys playing beach volleyball and basketball. She is a big NBA fan.

 
Lee    

Elizabeth Lee, DO | San Jose, CA | Medical School: Western University of Health Sciences 

Dr. Lee was born and raised in San Jose, CA and graduated medical school from Western University of Health Sciences. She is interested in primary care in medical school and working with underserved populations. She enjoys running, hiking, camping, cooking exotic foods, and spending time with family and friends.

 
Nguyen    

Minh-Thanh Nguyen, MD | San Jose, CA | Medical School: St. George’s University School of Medicine, Grenada 

Dr. Nguyen was born in San Jose, California and is the daughter of Vietnamese boat people. Dr. Nguyen’s medical interests are outpatient medicine, global and community health, underserved populations, and procedures. Her hobbies include traveling, snorkeling, hiking, playing tennis and table tennis, and trying new restaurants.

 
Padilla

Miriam Padilla, MD | Los Angeles, CA |  Medical School: St. George’s University School of Medicine, Grenada
     

Dr. Padilla is a first generation student and the first in her family to become a doctor in the United States. She attended St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada. Her interests include health inequalities and community medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys watching TV, reading, yoga, and meditation.

 
Shenouda

    Monika Shenouda, MD  | Los Angeles, CA |  Medical School: Ross University School of Medicine, Barbados 

Dr Shenouda was born and raised in Egypt and has been in the US since the age of 14. She is interested in practicing full spectrum medicine in underserved communities and providing culturally competent care to all her patients.
