CHW Makes $100,000 Donation to Haiti Earthquake Relief

Funds to Meet Immediate Needs, Re-build Local Hospital

San Francisco, CA - January 13, 2010 - Catholic Healthcare West (CHW), the eighth largest hospital system in the nation, announced today that it is making a corporate donation of $100,000 to aid the victims of Haiti following the devastating magnitude-7 earthquake on Tuesday.

The not-for-profit hospital system has contributed $50,000 to Catholic Relief Services to aid in meeting the immediate needs of the Haitian people, and another $50,000 to Global Health Ministry to aid in the reconstruction of the Hospital St. Francis de Sale in Port Au Prince.

"As members of the human family, we all share a dedication to serve those in need that reaches beyond the borders of our communities and our nation," said Lloyd H. Dean, President/CEO of Catholic Healthcare West. "In that spirit, we are making these donations to help bring much needed relief to the people of Haiti. We will keep them in our hearts and prayers."
