Dignity Health Appoints Elizabeth Keith, Daniel Morissette to Executive Vice President Positions

SAN FRANCISCO - December 14, 2015 - Dignity Health, one of the largest health systems in the nation, has named Daniel Morissette to the position of senior executive vice president/chief financial officer and Elizabeth Keith as executive vice president, sponsorship and mission integration for the $15 billion integrated health system.

Morissette, who will begin his role in February 2016, comes to Dignity Health from Stanford Health Care, where he served as chief financial officer.

Keith joined the organization in December 2015 and comes to Dignity Health from Bon Secours St. Francis Health System where she served as senior vice president, mission.

Morissette and Keith join the organization following the November 2015 retirements of Michael Blaszyk and Bernita McTernan. Both Keith and Morissette will report directly to president/chief executive officer Lloyd H. Dean.

"Dan Morissette is a highly accomplished executive with deep expertise in financial management, operational leadership, growth, and investment strategies. His proven track record in fiscal leadership and detailed knowledge of the health care marketplace will be a true asset to the organization.

"Elizabeth Keith is a skilled senior executive with extensive experience working with local governments, communities, and organizations assessing and advocating for the provision of services for the unsheltered, undocumented, uninsured, underinsured, and working poor," Dean continued. "Both Dan and Elizabeth will be phenomenal assets to our healing ministry."

As chief financial officer at Stanford Health Care in Palo Alto, Morissette was responsible for leading growth initiatives and developing care management ventures and partnerships, while guiding Stanford Health Care's financial operations. Additionally, he established an international presence for Stanford Health Care with business activity and sites in China, Hong Kong, and United Arab Emirates.

Previously Morissette held senior level finance positions with University of Toledo, Medical University of Ohio in Toledo, The Chicago Medical School, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He holds a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in finance and policy studies from University of Chicago's Booth School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science in commerce from DePaul University. Morissette will have oversight of financial affairs and other corporate operations activities, accounting, financial reporting, revenue cycle, treasury, financial planning, project financing, and capital planning.

As senior vice president, mission at Bon Secours St. Francis Health System, Keith was responsible for leading all mission functions, programs, and activities. She has been on the forefront of such highly visible work to create sustainability programs, mobile health programs, and an employee emergency fund. Elizabeth has also been a part of international initiatives in such countries as Italy, Peru, and Ireland. She is a board member of Catholic Charities and the Hispanic Alliance as well as a volunteer with Junior Achievement and Habitat for Humanity.

Keith holds a Masters of Public Administration from Baruch College in New York and Masters of Arts in Practical Theology and Ministry from Barry University in Miami, among other degrees. At Dignity Health, Keith will direct system-wide initiatives involving our religious sponsors and work to ensure that mission and values are integrated into all aspects of the organization. In addition, Keith will be the key liaison to the religious communities that co-sponsor Dignity Health, including local bishops, and other Catholic health care systems and organizations.
