The vascular surgeons at Mercy Medical Group are part of one of the largest, most experienced and most renowned teams in the nation. The Mercy team offers patients both catheter-based (endovascular) and surgical treatment options.
Using state of the art testing, our physicians continue to pioneers better ways to diagnose, treat and prevent vascular disease. Mercy offers a wide range of screenings, aimed at identifying those at risk for vascular disease. For patients already diagnosed with a form of vascular disease, the Mercy team works with patients to identify the most effective course of treatment for each individual.
In many cases, less invasive, catheter-based treatment options are available. These procedures, known as endovascular procedures, are often called percutaneous (or “through the skin”) and use special catheters and devices that are able to treat the problem through one or more small puncture sites. For patients, endovascular procedures can provide smaller incisions and much quicker recovery time.
